Webinar

Aim of this course is to provide researchers knowledge and tools to better support them in the implementation of Citizen Science in their research, and to better face the challenges and the opportunities offered by Horizon Europe.

Corso in lingua inglese

Citizen Science has multiple definitions. In general, it can be described as the participation of citizens in research and innovation at different stages of the process and at different levels of engagement, from shaping research agendas and policies, to gathering, processing and analysing data, and assessing the outcomes of research. Its potential to improve research and its outcomes and reinforce societal trust in science is enormous, although there are still many barriers and challenges to face for a proper integration of Citizen Science in research.

The upcoming Horizon Europe Programme aims to reinforce the interaction between science and society by promoting the co-creation of R&I agendas and by involving citizens and civil society directly in ‘doing’ research and innovation. Citizen Science will be a cross-cutting activity along the whole Programme and therefore it will play an essential role in the next years.

Aim of this course is to provide researchers knowledge and tools to better support them in the implementation of Citizen Science in their research, and to better face the challenges and the opportunities offered by Horizon Europe.
