The company is running research projects on fatty acid receptors, taste receptors and other receptors involved in the regulation of metabolic pathways and energy expenditure, that are located in the gut or in the tang and communicate to the endocrine and nervous system the presence of sugars, fats and tasty substances in food and beverages.
the final purpose is the identification of molecules that can interfere with this signaling for prevention or amelioration of obesity and metabolic disorders.
