GEMMA was a project carried out by 5 European organizations with the support and collaboration of the European Commission -- Directorate General Research - Unit Social Sciences and Humanities. The overall objective of GEMMA was to improve coordination between researchers, policy-makers and civil society organizations in the field of Gender and Migration. In particular GEMMA aimed at improving access to synthesized EC-funded Gender and Migration research results and related policy recommendations for policy-makers and civil society organizations at national level in GEMMA's 5 partner countries, Italy, France, UK, Austria and Hungary. This video presents the main activities and results arising from GEMMA activities as well as main recommendations for a better collaboration between researchers, policy-makers and civil society organizations in the field of Gender & Migration.

And anybody who is not familiar with Southeast Europe would probably be surprised to find out how many treasures it has been hiding; how much potential it heralds, and how much beauty there is to discover. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey have all set course towards the European Union. Croatia has gone the furthest on the path towards the European Union; it is set to become the 28th Member State on 1 July 2013. The "1 st Conference on International Cooperation (INCO) -- Supporting Research Integration", held in Athens, June 9(10, 2010, and organized by the General Directorate Research of the European Commission and PRAXI/HELP-FORWARD Network, was successfully concluded with the participation of more than 150 research policy makers from 53 countries underlying the necessity of research cooperation at global level in order to address global challenges (societal,environmental,etc). Theconference aimed to highlight the global dimension of the7th Framework Programme (FP7) as well as to stimulate the exchange of views and formation of a policy stand point as regards to international research. During the first day, the annual meeting of the European Commission (EC) with the INCO National Contact Points (NCPs) was held together with an exclusive training seminar. The second day was primarily focused on policy related issues of International Research Cooperation as well as on the views of Third Countries with regards to their involvement in the FP7. In addition, during the second day, experiences of International Cooperation projects funded by the EC under the FP7 were presented and extensively discussed.

A febbraio 2012 si è svolta a Roma la giornata di lancio del progetto PeopleNetwork+ Il progetto, coordinato da APRE, ha come obiettivo principale quello di rafforzare il Network inetrnazionale degli NCP (Punti di Contatto Nazionale) del Programma PEOPLE del 7PQ, con particolare attenzione ai Paesi terzi. La giornata ha visto la partecipazione della Commissione Europea e di oltre 60 delegati da 40 paesi diversi.
